A well-established steel fabricator with a wealth of diverse experience in supplying to the construction and resource sector, our client is a Western Australian owned and operated business. Employing around 155 staff, many with intimate knowledge of steel fabrication and associated industries in Australia, Europe and South East Asia, their commitment to quality and service has seen them establish themselves as a major player in a this competitive and demanding industry.
This newly created role will include the following duties:
- Research and identify new business opportunities, as well as developing relationships with existing clients.
- Keeping abreast of major developments and projects within the target business sector.
- Sales strategy planning, prepare sales forecasts and call plans to clients
- Source and promote sales of surplus and specials to clients
- Develop tailored customer value propositions
- Report on number of customer visits and sales calls
- Act as a point of contact for all clients for technical and non-technical issues.
To be successful in this role your attitude and approach will be critical. As well as this, you will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Proven ability within the WA market to prospect cold clients and develop new business.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the sales cycle and exceed your monthly targets.
- Excellent personal presentation skills and an ethical approach to business.
- Knowledge of the steel industry or mining and heavy industry clients would be an advantage.
