My client is a fortune 500, world leading manufacturers & suppliers of pumps, mixers and fluid handling technologies.  Employing over 40,000 people worldwide they operate in all regions across the global and have an extensive sales & service networks throughout Australia.  Due to a recently multimillion dollar acquisition they are now launching a new range of diesel driven pumps to the mining industry and are now seeking to employ a Business Development Manager to develop the sales and launch the product to market.

This role offers a grass roots opportunity whereby the successful candidate will manage significant new business activities and aid the development of the product range across the NSW regions specifically in the hunter & orange regions targeting major mining companies, contractors and municipals.  You will be responsible for project and bid development and coordination of tender submissions.  Accountability of the products success is weighted on this role.

The ideal candidate will:
·         Have engineering trade qualifications
·         A proven history of developing new business in the mining industry
·         Experience selling dewatering pumps / diesel driven pumps
·         A proactive sales approach and the entrepreneurial flair to grow a business
·         Existing industry contacts
·         Minimum 5 years local experience
