The Help Desk Officer is responsible for all support between the retail stores and the Support Centre, to ensure that all aspects of the helpdesk functions are fulfilled in the most timely and cost-effective fashion and with minimal disruption to the stores. To ensure your success in your role you will have the following skills: - Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT Support environment or qualifications in IT
- Prior knowledge of POS and the retail industry desirable
- Knowledge with Mac Software including MAC OS-X, Entourage, Mac Mail, Notes, Numbers and various Mac Hardware highly desirable
- Minimum intermediate level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Operating System, internet and email systems
- Prior knowledge and use of call/ticket logging systems advantageous
- Prior knowledge with troubleshooting Routers, Switches, Cabling, Desktops and Printers
- Prior knowledge with Remote desktop software and Citrix desirable
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and diffuse a problem effectively
- Demonstrated capacity to consistently deliver a high level of customer service and develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customers and colleagues
- Demonstrated highly effective written and interpersonal communication skills including report-writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage task-diversity.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software packages, create user guides and implement software packages into the businesses core network
