This organisation specialises in the extraction and processing of non metallic minerals. They boast 100 years of successful operation with over 200 production sites internationally and are looking for a Manager of Operations to lead a crew of up to 20 at a profitable high production limestone processing plant in coastal central Queensland, near Rockhampton.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, an experienced leader is needed to manage on site operations by ensuring that production and profitability remains at an optimum by analysing inefficiencies in production processes. You will actively implement programs to streamline mining and production costs, labour utilisation, safety and inventory control as well as ensuring the plant complies with all OH&S, Quality and Environmental company standards. You will also need to effectively liaise with various arms of the business to set budgets and plan strategic developments for the site.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Certificate IV in Extractive Industries will be highly regarded
• Extensive experience regarding Limestone will be highly regarded
• A background in minerals processing, mining and manufacturing is also suitable
• Degree qualified within a relative industry will be highly regarded
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

This is a residential Monday- Friday opportunity working a 40 hour week and offers a competitive salary which includes a company vehicle, a relocation package, a generous locality allowance, and a bonus of up to 7% of your base package.
