Our client is a company with operating gold mines in the Northern Territory of Australia currently producing from the Howley and North Point open pit mines and the Brocks Creek underground mine.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to supervise and direct, site-based survey teams to ensure a quality surveying service to the operation. This position is a part of the Mining Department requiring work to be completed in their rural office and their Northern Territory sites.

Reporting directly to the Mining Manager this position must work closely with the geology and mining personnel to enable the company to achieve safe production.

To be successful in your application for this role you must be able to:

Be compliant with all safety and environment requirements
Manage the survey database
Complete internal reporting as required
Manage and coordinate the activities of the survey personnel
Supervise a small team of surveyors
Monitor and report daily, weekly and monthly on survey performance
Provide detailed survey information into mine planning; and
Undertake duties within budget guidelines.

A Tertiary qualification in Surveying, an ability to manage small team and computer literacy in office products and mining software packages would be advantageous.
