Multi-National Mining Company is seeking a Mining Engineers for its Northern Territory Operations. The company has major mining projects throughout the world and operates a number of mines throughout Australia, Canada, Europe and South America. The company is committed to sustainable development and has secured a long-term supply of electricity and gas to meet forecast demand for the life of its current and planned operations in north-west Queensland.
DRILL & BLAST ENGINEER - Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent:
· Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
· 2 years experience in mining
· Experience in drill and blast is essential
· Experience using Vulcan software would be highly regarded
· Scheduling of drill and blast activities
· Undertake improvement of drill and blast systems
· Design drill patterns to take into account pit design, wall stability & ground conditions
· Build positive relationships across Technical Services & Mining Operations
SENIOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER - Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent:
· Relevant degree qualifications
· Experience in a similar role
· Open cut mining experience
· Be to lead a team in developing Geotechnical management systems and models
· Deliver on Geotechnical investigation programs
· Provide technical support to the Technical Services team.
MINE GEOLOGIST - The successful candidate will have:
· Tertiary qualifications in geology
· 5 years mining experience
· Recent open cut experience
· Supervisory experience
· Provide leadership and support to team members
· High level of communication and interpersonal skills
· Experience with VULCAN software will be an advantage
MINE PLANNING ENGINEER - Expected qualifications include:
· Relevant degree qualified
· 5 years experience in mining
· Experience in long term mine planning
· Exposure to Vulcan and XPAC software would be highly regarded.
TECHNICAL SERVICES SUPERINTENDANT - To be a success in this role you will have:
· Degree qualifications in mining engineering, geology or other related qualification
· 8 years mining experience
· Recent open cut experience
· Supervisory experience.
· Experience providing leadership and support to team members
· A high level of communication and interpersonal skills
· Experience with VULCAN software will be an advantage.
Various rosters are available to suit your individual needs. The position is FIFO from Darwin, although you will be able to live anywhere in Australia should you wish.
