Operations Manager – Asset Management

Our client is a leader in the provision of Asset Management Services across a range of heavy industry sectors including manufacturing, power and mining. An exciting and challenging role has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to manage a major facility in eastern Victoria. The focus of the role is to drive the facility. You will need to foster a culture of continuous business improvement. There is also a heavy emphasis on exceptional customer relationship management. You will deliver growing efficiencies through your business acumen and leadership abilities. You will ideally be a senior manager with experience in power mining or other heavy industry.

Key accountabilities of the position include:

• To provide clear and consistent business direction through leadership and motivation
• Maintain effective client focus to achieve lasting business relationships
• Asset management strategies to effectively drive efficiency
• Staff selection and development
• Managing HS&E and promoting a safety culture of the business
• Best practice resource and asset management
• Industrial relations management
• Strategic planning, budgeting and cost control

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Previous experience in managing large industrial assets
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Well developed MS office skills
• Highly developed business management and leadership skills
