Our multinational client operates a diversified world-wide portfolio of metals and mining businesses with the aim of delivering industry-leading returns. They are focused on achieving their vision by operating according to the key values that are the foundations of all their work.

One of their green-field underground mine operations has an immediate need for a Mining Engineer where you will utilise your mine planning and implementation experience in an underground mine to assist in the coordination and control of the green-field mine site development. Here you will be directly reporting to the senior mining engineer.

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Follow company procedures to develop current conception plans to final design.
  • Development and delivery of accurate mine planning information and project schedules.
  • Provide feedback loops between all departments to optimise mine planning.
  • Ensure that risk assessment processes are adhered to throughout the design process.

You will require:

  • Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of mine design and scheduling.
  • Sound grasp of mine planning and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of mine geology, rock mechanics and ventilation principles.
