Company, Position & Specification:
 
Our client is one of Australia's leading Mining operators throughout New South Wales & Queensland.  This quality company has excellent staff retention and develops their skills through training and internal promotion.  To attract the best talent they offer employees excellent packages, good work rosters and extremely good perks.
 
They are currently seeking experienced Mining Engineers to provide project and engineering management support in the following areas;
 
Mine planning including design and scheduling;
Drilling and blasting activities;
Productivity analysis and optimisation;
Tender preparation and review;
Quality control; and
Project based mine and project engineering support.
 
To be successful in this position, you will have the following;
 
Degree Qualification in Mining Engineering, or equivalent (eg Civil with mining major);
Previous open-cut mining experience in a similar role;
Demonstrated capability in truck and shovel, drill and blast operations;
Developed mine planning and scheduling skills (Vulcan, XPAC and XACT highly desired);
Previous experience in coal quality or grade control management would be highly regarded;
Previous experience in dragline operations would be well regarded.
