I am looking for a Senior Geologist that has solid experience in Iron Ore or Base metals exploration, worked in both the Pilbara and Northern Territory, that is looking to lead an exploration team.

The Senior Exploration Geologist will be part of a senior team that is responsible for the planning and execution of key exploration programs for this well known entity, part of an international group that continues to exceed production targets and increase shareholder value.

Reporting to Exploration Manager you will be responsible for developing new projects, including managing drill rigs, geological mapping, managing the geological team of project geologists, field assistants, Graduates and several contractors, liaising with government bodies, and designing and implementing exploration programs, you will also be part of the near mine exploration team!

You will be required to have the following experience:

•Tertiary qualified in Geology, post graduate qualification is an advantage
•Min 5-10 years exploration experience
•Experience supervising the exploration programme including the RC and diamond drilling, rock chip sampling, earth moving equipment and exploration staff
•Proven experience supervising, mentor and training large exploration teams
•Strong Iron Ore or base metals exploration
•Sound resource modeling and reporting ability
