The Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Solicitor with 1-4yrs PAE within Employment Law & Industrial Relations sector. The new team member will be responsible for identifying and analysing complex legal implications on various matters whilst delivering timely, commercially focused & cost effective advise to clients.
In particular you will be working on a range of industrial and workplace relation matters such as termination of employment & redundancies, industrial action, discrimination and equal opportunities. Prior experience in negotiating, drafting and interpreting a range of employment agreements, independent contractor agreements and industrial instruments are essential.
In addition, you will provide advice to clients on potential and actual disputes, facilitating the litigation process including the preparation of witness statements, briefs, court documents and general management of the interlocutory process. Instructing and appearing in the State and Federal courts & Tribunals will certainly be apart of this role as will defending clients in discrimination & harassment claims and advising clients on general discrimination issues.
Do You Have?:
- 1-4yrs PAE in Employment Law & Industrial Relations
- Experience with terminations of employment & redundancies, industrial action, discrimination and equal
opportunities
- Prior experience in negotiating, drafting and interpreting various employment agreements
- Excellent analytical, communication and research skills
- A strong commitment to client service
- The ability to develop relationship with internal and external stakeholder
- The ability to work within a team
