Temporary Service Centre Assistant

Looking for casual work in a professional environment? Can you do basic maintenance / handyman work? Potential for casual work throughout the year.

Based in the service centre of this large law firm (200+ staff onsite), you will be responsible for working in a team environment attending to telephone and email requests from staff members in a timely manner.

Your duties will include:

  • Basic maintenance issues (can you use a screwdriver?!)
  • Removing empty boxes and archive boxes
  • Sorting of mail and delivering mail throughout the firm
  • Attending to couriers, both incoming and outgoing
  • Attending to occasional deliveries near the firm in the CBD
  • Other duties as requested

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have:

  • A background in a busy administrative position
  • Strong customer service skills, willingness to assist others
  • Ability to work under pressure and to conflicting deadlines
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Outlook and Excel
  • Cheerful, friendly manner

We are ideally seeking a candidate who can not only commit to this assignment, but would like extra work during the year assisting to cover staff members holidays / leave etc. Mature aged applicants and/or retirees seeking extra income are encouraged to apply.
