Located in the city we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in Family Law. This is an excellent firm with a stable team & a great atmosphere, salary is dependant on experience. Your role will include:
Typing of correspondence and documents (digital)
General liaison with fee earner for smooth and efficient running of practice
Preparing correspondence/documents for filing at court and service on other parties
Instructing outside clerk on filing and service of correspondence/documents
Opening new files / Closure of files
Inputting timesheets where appropriate
Accounts pre billing, cheque requisitions, preparing banking requisitions for incoming money
Updating variable information in Insight and use of Wordox document management system
Liaising with clients, solicitors, insurers, doctors and other interested parties
Emailing telephone messages to fee earner, keeping accurate record of telephone conversations
Booking internal meeting rooms
Greeting clients/other parties, escort to interview room, offer refreshments.
Mail incoming, outgoing; facsimiles and email transmissions
Bring ups/diarising
Time bars & archiving
