One of the leading brands in the insurance sector is looking for a Senior Manager who is well versed in the workings of insurance claims within both General Liability and Financial Lines.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the development of the claims handling strategy and initiatives to improve handling times and costs with a focus on "long tail" business
- Have full responsibility for small case portfolio of complex litigated and non-litigated claims
- Attend court appointed actions: mediation, informal settlement meetings, dispute resolution forums and the like
- Oversee and manage the our service providers to ensure process and costs are at optimum through developing and on-going performance monitoring of agreed service levels
- Add value to current business relationships with Brokers and their key clients by using your vast and proven knowledge of the industry.
As the ideal candidate, you will process:
- Proven experience in the management of general liability and financial lines insurance claims
- Strong rapport and negotiation skills and proven experience dealing with insurance intermediaries as well as internal and external stakeholders
- A proven understanding of what superior customer service means and the application thereof to the work environment
- Sound understanding of common law and the judicial systems including a demonstrated understanding for the tort reforms that in been in force since 2002
- Thorough understanding of insurance underwriting pricing and processes
- Clear and confident communication skills with the unique ability of "instant engagement"
- Problem solving and the ability to re-prioritise as needed
- ANZIFF qualifications or equivalent - Tier 2 compliant
