This role involves working under the guidance of the Architect to develop an external design document that addresses a customisation need that cannot be fulfilled via the base software. These designs could also be for reports and interfaces.
 
Key Accountabilities:

• Design documents may also be written for complex configuration of the base CCB software.
• Assist customers to determine business needs and ways of using the base CCB software to meet these needs.
• Record and publish detailed minutes of discovery sessions
• Understand and document business processes
• Utilise existing resources/collateral to produce a design document.
• Write pseudo code for complex logic (without writing the detailed code)
• Develop detailed, task-orientated estimates to build and implement the system
• Identify changes in scope expansion and manage customer expectations of scope
• Own the external design and provide support throughout the development and system test phases
• Perform system test planning and execution as required.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Understanding of CCB software and how to optimize the software within a Utility business.
• Understanding of Utilities business processes (both Retail and Distribution)
• Facilitation skills to assist in requirements analysis
• Ability to design changes to systems or new systems to meet customer requirements
• MS Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to quality review detailed designs, test plans and technical solutions

Preferred skills:

• High level estimation of effort for design, development and testing of design solutions (ballparking)
• Detailed estimation of effort for development and testing of design solutions
• Functional/Product Knowledge of CCB Products
