Our client, a well known company based on the inner north side of Brisbane, are currently looking for a highly skilled Analyst/Programmer to join their established team on a permanent basis. The role will see you responsible for a range of development duties and for all phases of design, coding, developing and testing of the company's Internet service applications. Responsibilities will include: - Scope, analyse, design and provide estimates of development time and risk for development of new information systems and modifications to existing information systems;
- Analyse situations in the test and production environments and describe their associated consequences to the business;
- Follow approved methodologies and processes to ensure the effective and efficient design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of systems;
- Develop, test, and implement new information systems, and changes to existing information systems;
- Document functional requirements;
- Prepare technical and user documentation for new systems and changes to existing systems;
- Provide systems administration advice in the provision of computer hardware and operating systems required to provide services;
- Integrate existing information systems to facilitate access to data;
- Create and execute integration testing plans for all software developed or modified;
Required Skills: - Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
- Proficient in use of development languages, including .NET framework 3.5, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server including Transact SQL, Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008;
- Experience with requirements analysis, systems and database design, data integration, programming, documentation, testing, identifying system defects and quality assurance;
- Good understanding of SDLC methodologies, development standards and quality control;
- Experience in the identification, analysis and management of risks.
