Design & Build are currently working in partnership with a centrally located council to secure the services of a Parking Enforcement / Local Laws Officer on a contract basis. Located within easy reach from all major transport links both road and rail, this client has an urgent requirement for a Parking Enforcement / Local Laws Officer on an initial four month assignment. Reporting directly into the Coordinator of Parking Enforcement, the successful candidate will assist in administering the complete infringement management process from the alleged offence to the receipt of fines and where required the prosecution of offenders in court As a Parking Enforcement Officer you will assist in contributing towards building a safe and sustainable community whilst creating a place that people will wish to live, work and visit. Duties will include: - Contribute towards the councils Road Safety Program
- Manage correspondence and telephone enquiries
- Engage with a range of stakeholders to improve voluntary compliance with Parking and Traffic Regulations
- Issue parking infringement notices where compliance is not achieved
- Provide evidence in court where required
- Provide a regular and visible presence
Requirements include: - Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience within a similar role
- Victorian driving license
