• APS6 Salary starting from $73,500
• Central Canberra location

Our client is seeking an experienced APS6 Project Officer to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with shifting priorities. You will be able to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to inform and educate key partners. 

The successful candidate requires:

• Knowledge of the workings of government.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental and conservation legislation.
• Experience in applying environmental protection and/or conservation principles and practices.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound experience in senior level negotiation, liaison and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated public policy and experience in the development, implementation and review of policies.
• Project management experience, including and development of recommendations to improve environmental protection and conservation outcomes.

Applicants must be Australian citizens.  Preference will be given to those candidates with a current security clearance of Baseline (Protected) or higher.
