Based in Central Western NSW, our underground gold mine is expanding production and we are seeking a highly motivated and professional Mining Engineer who wants to drive their career forward. Reporting to the Mining Manager, this role will see you step up to the next level, coordinating all short term Mine Engineering activities in order to lift production in a safe and efficient manner

The Role:

• Coordinate all short term mine engineering activities, from 1 week to 3 months and mentor staff to achieve targets
• Liaise between the Production, Engineering and Environmental teams to ensure all activities are undertaken in a safe and responsible manner, as per our commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Forecast production targets on a quarterly basis, provide monthly progress reports to the Mining Manager and reforecast targets as needed

You will require:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years experience in underground Mining Engineering
• Practical Drill and Blast experience
• Experience in Decline and Long Hole mining methods
• Experience with mining software: Vulcan, EPS and Microsoft applications
• Outstanding interpersonal communication and leadership skills
