This role is for an ambitious Contract Engineer who is looking for a diverse role in a fun and challenging environment. There is an extensive pipeline of work ahead and you will be involved in some of the biggest Oil and Gas and LNG development projects in Australia. The role is with one of the largest O&G Operators yet the teams are small and the red-tape is minimal. You will be given plenty of training in the areas you wish to further develop your skills, even though you will be coming in as a contractor. Company policy is to take every one on as a contractor for the first few years and then offer a permanent contract as a reward. The reason for this is simple - contractors are easier to take on and the process to hire is much faster. Your role entails setting up and writing contracts from scratch, reviewing and screening supplier contracts, fault-finding internal and external documents and understanding areas for improvement across the business from a legal and contractual perspective. You will work closely with 3 other contract engineers directly and share larger projects with them, yet smaller projects will be yours to tackle alone within the group. An example of this latter would be setting up contracts for other employees to receive industry specific training with training providers. Part of your role will be procurement but the focus is on contracts engineering and legal matters. Your SAP skills and general IT abilities are strong. You are experienced at following processes and procedures. You have a Bachelor degree in Commerce or Law as a minimum requirement. Strong experience in legal matters and practises will be very valuable here. Candidates local to Perth will have an advantage but all applicants that suit the requirements who are eligible to work in Australia will be considered. To apply and for more information, email your CV to Elke Koelman on elkek@charterhouse.com.au. Alternatively, for any questions please call Elke on 08 9213 8716.
