A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Interchange team and work within its Childrens Programs. Interchange has been widely recognised and respected for 25 years as a provider of innovative models of family and community based respite care for children and young people with disabilities.
As a social worker in the Host program you will facilitate links for children and their families with volunteer carers and support them in their quest to share in community life, fun and friendship together.
You will work within the Families SA, Alternative Care Standards to ensure children are provided with a safe and nurturing environment.
We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who is eligible for membership with the AASW and who;
- has a background and experience in assessment.
- is able to work independently.
- is able to relate to and support families.
- has a strong commitment to working in partnership with volunteers.
- is able to work collaboratively with other agencies and organisations, both in the government and non-government sector.
- values the importance of working and contributing toward a positive team environment.
