This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to work on a $30 million dollar Mix-use Residential project in Sydney. You will be responsible for the management of the project to deliver the commercial buildings and supporting civil infrastructure.
In addition to working on such a large project you will be based in the Sydney's Inner City working for a rapidly growing mid-tier contractor. The opportunity offers the right person to move into a leadership role with this company in the future.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Overall management of the project
- Lead and inspire a dedicated project team
- Ensure the clients key expectations are identified and understood early in the project
- Reviewing and authorising all procedures and project plans
- Ensuring the project draft and implementation plan are of the highest quality
- Identify and resolve potential project blockages
- Reporting on job progress to senior management via timely reports including analysis of projects cost/revenue, costs to complete, risk and opportunity analyses
- Ensuring client feedback on performance is obtained on a regular basis and duly acted upon, throughout the life of the project.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering, building, project management or equivalent
- Experience managing complex Design and Construct Projects, in the area of defence, health or mining
- Considerable top or second tier experience as a project manager on multimillion dollar projects - ideally in excess of $30 Million
- Sound knowledge of the Sydney construction market including unions, sub contractors etc
- Ability to lead and performance manage a large construction team to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Financial Management - including demonstrated ability in meeting budgets and driving cost accountability
