Our client is seeking a suitably qualified Service and Parts Manager to become part of the most dynamic, professional engine / transmission company in Australia at their Hunter Valley Branch
Key Duties and Responsibilities of the position will include:
•Leading the After Sales Department (Parts and Service) to ensure that efficiencies in operation are achieved and monitored, quality work is produced and customer needs are satisfied.
•Leading a team consisting of 6 direct reports and a total team of 60 including Aftersales advisors, technical advisors and work shop mechanical staff spread over two shifts.
•A focus on proactive after sales systems to increase customer satisfaction and to increase sales and service revenues.
•Manage WIP to ensure all jobs are invoiced in a timely manner
•Preparing quotations for major customers of the Aftersales Department
•Developing the Aftersales Department Team, via structured training and development programmes, in order to enhance the personal development of employees, and relationships with customers
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
•Appropriate trade or business qualifications with a focus on managing people
•Minimum of 4 years experience in the Heavy Engine or a technically similar business (vehicles or machinery) that require after sales service and parts.
•An understanding of Quality Assurance systems and implementation
•An understanding of Occupational Health & Safety systems and implementation
•An understanding of internal and external customer needs and requirements
•A customer focus to develop and enhance business opportunities
•Enthusiasm and leadership skills
•Be able to develop staff inter-relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction
•Ability to motivate and supervise employees in order to achieve the teams goals
