Key responsibilities of the role:
* To devise and implement effective media solutions for your clients across all formats of media including TV, press, online, radio and outdoor * To be responsible for utilising consumer insight and competitive data to ensure media strategies are both targeted and innovative * To develop effective relationships with media owners and ensure negotiations result in competitive rates and added value where possible * To work closely with your clients to understand their business needs and advise them on the media marketplace - meeting with them and presenting to them regularly * To manage a junior report, ensuring they develop their career effectively and managing their workload * To ensure you work closely with other specialist teams including digital and creative teams
Key skills required:
* It is essential, to be considered for this role, for you to have previous experience of media planning and buying to a media planner buyer or senior planner buyer level or equivalent * You will need to have knowledge of at least two formats of media, ideally across all formats * You will need to be confident in negotiating rates with media owners, managing late money and finding means of gaining additional values for your clients * You will need to be confident in managing a junior report and enjoy inspiring those around you * You will need to have strong client management skills * Good attention to detail is essential * A positive attitude and an eagerness to develop your media career further
