We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to start ASAP! This is a state government project and the contract should lead you through to end of the year or into early 2011. This role will be working directly with the internal client to make enhancements and upgrades to an already implemented system.  
 
The role is more aimed at senior level candidates with broad project experience.
 
Primarily candidates coming from Java/J2EE and Oracle backgrounds are what we are looking for, however, we will also be looking for skills with the following core and supporting technologies:  

• Web based user interface development in a J2EE framework;
• Exposure to Spring, Hibernate 3, GWT and Maven;
• Use of Oracle 11g databases; and
• Knowledge of enterprise architectures.

In addition, more general skills and abilities also required include:  

• Technical documentation;
• Analytical and problem-solving;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
