My client is a leading Listed Organisation, who are currently looking to hire a Financial Planning Analyst on a contract basis to cover for a period of 2-3 months. Located in a convenient Western Sydney location, my client is a leading player in their field and will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to work for a recognised brand name in a commercially focused Contract position.

Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Planning Analyst supports the achievement of the Business Unit Strategy by providing accurate and timely consolidated performance reporting and planning information for each business division. You will also provide on time and accurate management accounting information and insightful analysis. The key focus of the position is to assist in the preparation of group budgets, forecasts and strategic plans for the Group.

Other key responsibilities include the following:

• Preparing monthly Management Reports and commentary for the Group.
• Co-ordinate preparation of the monthly board report including analysis of results, preparation of financial schedules and commentary.
• Preparing ad-hoc reports as and when required for the Board
• Manage the preparation of group budgets, forecasts and strategic plans for the Group
• Coordinate corporate budgets /forecasts and advice cost centre managers.
• Prepare management accounts and analyse divisional performance for board reports

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong competency in these areas, be appropriately degree qualified and have CPA or CA qualifications. While prior FMCG industry experience is not essential, prior experience within a large Listed organisation would be an advantageous. The successful applicant will have excellent reporting and financial modelling tools knowledge as well as advanced SAP skills. Good written and verbal communication skills will be paramount to your success in the role.
