Our client is currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their busy office based on the Southside. This is a full-time permanent position for a highly skilled and eager individual to join the Accounts team. Reporting to the Finance Manager our ideal candidate will have a Degree / Diploma in Accounting, or is currently studying towards Accounts. However, you must have industry experience in Accounts for this role. The main purpose of this role is to provide accounting and administration support to the Finance and Administration Department by maintaining the general ledger, month end and other accounting tasks. Key responsibilities include: - Complete bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Research anomalies on the general ledger
- Prepare end of month journals
- Assist with accruals and prepayments
- Communicate with stakeholders
- Assist with preparation of the annual statements
- Reporting month end
- Assist with analysing monthly results
To be successful for this role you will have the following requirement: - 1-2+ years accounting experience in a similar role
- Must have Degree or Diploma in Accounting or almost at completion
- Intermediate computer skills MS Office Suite
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Highly organised
